Share meals with other Yazio users

I’d like to suggest the possibility to share meals or food entries with other YAZIO users. Very often having lunch or dinner together with other who use YAZIO can be easier to have just one enter the food and share with the other. Also the sharing feature can have all the benefit of creating community

Share anything that's in my meal list. I can share recipies but I can't share foods. This makes it easy to send whatever we are eating to my wife for example, for each individual item so that we only look them up once. Maybe with the choice of sending the meal or just individual items. This way I don't have to create a meal (often it's just a bit of this or a bit of that) sharing items would simplify

This would really help my girlfriend and I as we are both users of the app and have to enter the ingredients in both our phones. If one of us could share the meal we the other (e.g. through a QR Code) that would be awesome.

I just had my wife & mother-in-law join the app. I was really surprised that this was not a feature. It feels dumb having 3 people sitting at the table entering the same meal from scratch.

I'd love to see this option! I eat together with my husband, but have no time to create a recipe on both accounts. To have an option to calculate with the same database would be a great feature!!

Food items themselves are synced via Yazio, but I am talking about syncing the meals between users. So probably create a local group.

Me and my wife both are using the app and tracking our weight etc. The thing is, apart from a few snacks here and there, most of the meals were the same. Maybe the quantity would be different. What happened was, either I would enter and then she would copy it from my phone, or sometimes I had to enter twice, once on her phone, and then on my phone.
If there is a group feature, or maybe like a sync feature, it'll really help.

The absence of this feature is kind of blocking for us now. We’re tracking as a family for now. With less enthousiatic kids :-) So sending the link of the meal or appetizer plate is the easiest way to keep them on board. If you implement it : make the link open the app , but then choose where and WHEN to add it in your Yazio (filling/sharing the day after). And consider splits/percentages: if it is a full meal for 4 , you want to add a quarter of that. And if its already a 1 person meal, you may want to correct percentage wise (small eater vs big eater)

I eat every day with my wife and togheter have the same lunch. It's a great solution for insert the food in one phone and share with partner all.

adding a recipe suggestion of the app for instance does not allow you to change individual ingredients (in case you replace or leave out something). Neither can one share a day or meal with someone, as me and my partner both use the app, it makes us both need to add individually, would be nice if I could share it directly to her by sharing the mean. Furthermore the synchronization works half only, does not track sport activities from xiaomi

This is possible.
Just go to to the menu where you can add a meal to your dinner.
Select recipes and then select the self created recipe.
You can then press the share button and share it with others the usual way.

Without using Google Chrome, you *CANNOT* share recipe links, because your link will redirect to the Google App store. For Apple users, nothing you can do about it, devs already said they can't do anything. I have an Android on Firefox and apparently there's a workaround, but devs don't want to do anything about it... (this is what I heard from Yazio Support when I asked). I have to wonder what kind of developers work there if they are too lazy to consider things from a user perspective... and Pro users have to Google how to fix things themselves...

Let us access other users' recipes from their page (under the Buddies view), as we often share a meal! We're using Pro, so you're already getting paid for your work!

I remember there used to be such a feature, but under a certain brand. My wife and I would start the product by ourselves, count the calories, and put our names on it so it would be easier to find later. Now that function is not available.
