Rework the summary with deficit layout
I am posting regarding an important correction in the daily calorie summary.
The current view contains structural issues. Basal Metabolism (BMR) is missing from the “Burned” section, even though it should appear there. This creates confusion between BMR and the calorie goal, which should remain separate for proper personalization. In addition, physical activity currently increases “remaining calories,” which is incorrect. The daily goal should not rise with activity; the gap created by activity is what allows accurate tracking of a deficit or surplus (ideally 300–500 kcal).
To improve clarity, the layout should be adjusted:
A. Eaten: Consumed / Goal
Example: 2,000 / 2,400 kcal, to see intake vs. target.
B. Actual Surplus / Deficit
Replace “remaining calories.”
Balance = Consumed – (BMR + Activity)
C. Burned: Detailed Breakdown
• Basal Metabolism
• Physical Activity
This separation removes ambiguity and provides a clear, reliable energy balance.
