Enhanced Carb Precision & "Diabetic Mode" for AI Food Recognition

3 votes

Improve the accuracy, transparency, and user-control of carbohydrate estimation for users managing diabetes in AI mode. As a diabetic users, we need a tool I can trust for bolus calculations. It would be a game changer for a lot of people.

The Problem: The current AI model seems optimized for general weight loss (calories) rather than macronutrient precision (carbohydrates).
The Request: Introduce a "Diabetic/High-Precision Mode" in the settings. Enabling this should shift the AI’s priority to carb-heavy components of a meal and trigger a more rigorous estimation process.

Manual Input Overrides (Weight & Volume)
The Problem: AI often struggles with depth perception and density, leading to overestimated portions.
The Request: Allow users to instantly edit the weight or volume of identified items (e.g., "150g of brown rice" instead of "1 scoop"). Changing this should trigger an immediate, dynamic recalculation of the carbs based on that specific weight.
